Moisture Meter

The RYOBI Moisture Meter provides accurate moisture content readings of building materials, firewood and surfaces in and around the home. Use it on plasterboard and aerated concrete walls to find leaks and identify problem areas where mould can grow. Check timber pieces are dry and won’t warp before using them in a woodwork project. Ensure firewood is bone dry and ready to burn by checking its moisture content.

It’s simple to use. To test surfaces, turn on the Moisture Meter, select a mode (softwood, hardwood, plasterboard, aerated concrete), then place the electrodes/pins on the surface.

The LCD screen shows the MC% (moisture content percentage), material mode selected, room temperature and battery level. Colour-coded LEDs quickly communicate the moisture percentage range detected (green for dry, yellow for moist, red for wet). 

The self-testing cap features conductors on which you can place the electrode/pins to calibrate and test.

A hold function locks in MC% readings—a great feature to use when you’re testing hard-to-reach areas and can’t see the LCD screen immediately.
